A BIG THANK YOU to all that participated and helped us to make the 1st marathon the big succes it was. You were wonderfull, we will certainly go for the 2nd. We have very fond memories, and plenty of pictures to watch. We will collect links, so you can all watch.
- And now for the weather!
It was raining a bit fridaymorning in Amsterdam, but for this evening the forcast is a lot better. Also saturday morning it may rain, but in the afternoon and evening it is expected to be dry and a nice 21 degrees. Sunday is even better with no rain at all and temperatures above 22 degrees.
- Saturday and sunday check out the tangoshoes from www.gretaflorabelgium.com
- All 1 star rooms are booked. For dormitories the reservations from this website are closed. You may call the hotel and see what they can do.
- We now have over 75 passe-partout registrations, many more are expected to come for just one or two days. See Facebook. We do not make reservations for single days, so come early if you want to make sure you can register.
In the event that it becomes too crowded, we may have to close the registration. We expect that we can host to a maximum 200 people, so for now it looks ok.
- We are going ahead with the exhibition of historical photo's and items of the Lloyd Hotel in the emigration era: 1921-1935. We also have pictures from the Museum of Immigration in Buenos Aires, to show how these immigrants arrived.
- We are receiving numerous registrations, about 2/3 from abroad. From Facebook we see how many more people intend to come. Nevertheless, we keep on promoting the Marathon to make it a big success, so we can organize it every summer!
- The Marathon can now be seen on www.tangofestivals.net and on www.knowtango.com. Should you have suggestions for us for other sites and/or mailinglists, please let us know.
- Efforts are being made to organize an exhibition of historical photo's of the Lloyd Hotel in the emigration era: 1921-1935.

- We have just gone live at 12:15 and are already receiving registrations. Promising!
- There is WiFi at the Lloyd Hotel, and I was thinking, wouldn't it be fun to broadcast a live webcam at the marathon, for those who have to miss it...
Anyone can help us set it up?
- From June 5th, registration is open for Passe-Partouts and for hotel accomodations.
- The dj's of the festival will be: Christos, Bachar, Ada among others.
Soon we will publish the schedule
- If you or anyone you know, is interested to sponsor this event, please be in touch with us.
- We are still looking for volunteers. Do you feel like helping us out, let us know and we'll be n touch!
